ATI Hot-Rolling and Processing Facility
This is the most technologically advanced and powerful facility of its kind in the world. It is designed to hot roll nickel-based and specialty alloys, titanium alloys, stainless sheet, strip and coiled plate, zirconium alloys, Precision Rolled Strip products and grain oriented electrical steel. Slabs of metal come out of the furnace at 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit and move through the process at speeds of up to 30mph. This facility takes a hot slab to a semi-finished coil in minutes.
